The Samaritan Center for Grief Support is here for you. Along with family members of our patients, Samaritan’s grief support services are available for anyone in the community experiencing grief and loss.
We are committed to providing you with the grief support you need in these difficult times. In order to best serve our community, we are currently holding some groups on-line via Microsoft Teams and some groups in person. Please see our list of support groups below for more information on dates and locations.

Healing Hearts A Space for Grieving Children & Families A supportive and safe space for children (ages 4-17) and parents/guardians to meet with others for mutual support to process their grief, memorialize their loved ones, and heal together. Young Adults Coping with Loss A six-week online grief support group for young adults between the ages of 18-35 who are coping with the death of a friend or family member. Loss at a time in life when someone is defining who they are personally and professionally can be unsettling and isolating.

Daughters Without Mothers A six-week online group for adult women grieving the loss of their mother. How do we, as daughters, find our way after our moms have died? What happens to the empty chairs? This South NJ support group offers grief education, and most importantly, a place to speak your mom’s name, tell her story, and honor her memory. This group is no charge and open to the community. Grieving the Love of Your Life A six-week in person or online group for those grieving the loss of a spouse/partner.
This group provides a safe place as you learn to live and cope, day by day, while dealing with a broken heart after losing the person closest to you. | In Person Tuesdays 1:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. January 14th - February 18th March 4th - April 8th |
Rebuilding After Loss A six week online or in person group that provides a safe space to explore your journey, your feelings, and how you are coping as you redefine your identity in relation to your loss.

Sharing in Grief and Hope - An Expressive Arts Group A six-week online group for anyone who has lost a family member or friend. This group's goal is to help you find your way to a new life that encompasses the absence of your loved one. You will have the opportunity to share your story, to give and receive support and comfort, and to honor and memorialize your loved one. | Online Wednesdays 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. April 2nd - May 7th October 1st - November 5th |
Healing Your Heart: No yoga experience necessary. This is a special, seven-week group for anyone interested in exploring their grief journey through the chakras utilizing yoga asana (poses), breathwork (pranayama) and meditation. | More Dates To Be Announced |
